Love...we are all looking for it.
While some of us won't give up the relentless pursuit of never ending happiness, other who think they have found that happiness are actually...just settling.
I know it can be hard to wait until true love decides to plop its self on you door step buuuuuuuut that doesn't mean that building a "Situationship" with some random dude isn't the answer Sway!
Because at the end of the day you aint gonna be happy settling with Mr.Right now and poooor little Mr.Right now is just going to wind up hurt.
So...how do you know if you really love him or if your in a Situationship? Put on your big girl panties and check the 5 sure signs that this...ain't the real thing below.
On friday I turned 27, TWENTY.....SEVEN. A whole 27
And I think I'm still struggling to deal with the idea that I'm actually an adult...and the fact that I've been single for a whole damn year *insert side eye*
Thats right SINGLE FOR A YEAR...which to most may not seem like a big deal but when you get into adulthood and you're too old to be irresponsible and thoting around, but too young to feel like you need to have a husband and a kid hanging from your boob.
Being 26 and single for a year SUCKS.
Being 26 and single for a year SUCKS.
and I'm here to tell you why.
This past week I have been in one of the biggest funks I have been in...in a very long time. Things were not quite going right with work, I felt like I was being looked over in business, I wasn't really sleeping or eating right...and most of all I felt lost with where my life was going/where it should be at 26 going on 27.
I had honestly wished that there was one thing in particular that was wrong so I could focus on it and fix it, however there were so many things that I wanted to address it felt overwhelming. So much so that after work on Friday around 7:00 pm I laid on the bed and didn't get back up until 12:30 pm the next day.
I HAD HAD IT!
At one point or another in life we're all guilty of being ungrateful...and more often than not I don't actually believe it's on purpose.
I don't think anyone strives to be ungrateful for the things that they have, the blessings they are given or the opportunities that they are allotted in life. I think more so it comes down to it being so hard to see the good when you're also being faced with bad.
No matter if it's in love, your every day life or situations with family having good things happen are often out shadowed by the bad things that tend to follow right behind any good situation.
And we focus so much on those bad things that the good even though it's still there disappears...

Things that used to fit are getting snug in places they didn't used to be and jackets from last year pinch in creases where there used to be room and there is no one to blame but myself. Since the holidays I have completely let my good eating habits go. I have started eating more junk, drinking soda and even eating a little fast food and I defiantly haven't been working out to combat that.
Happy Monday y'all!
I know I have been MIA on the blogging scene for the past week or so and I'm sorry. As you all know I stumbled upon this amazing thing called couponing and it has consumed my life lol. Honestly, its addictive lol but there will be more post on that later ;)
I wanted the first post I put up after my little hiatus to be something that was meaningful, actually I want to do AT LEAST one meaningful/motivational post every week. You know, something to try and help keep everyone that reads my blog look at the positive that is all around them.
This weeks Motivational Monday is about messages and mistakes.
I woke up this morning in a good mood, as I generally do unless its before 9am. Rolled over, blew my noes (because its always stuffed or running in the morning) grabbed my phone and hopped on Instagram.
Yes I'm one of those people who get on Instagram first thing in the morning lol but don't judge me some people get up and flick on the news some people get up and scroll through Instagram. I like to think of Instagram as my news.
Anywho, all things were fine and well until I clicked on a "friends" page and started sifting through her pictures. Most were run of the mill selfies and pictures of meme's, but then I came across a picture from about 4 weeks ago of her at her college graduation. Under the picture was a heart felt post about how it has taken her so long to get here but she is so proud of herself and what she has accomplished.
Ok so I'm not going to sit here and claim that I'm the most grown up or sophisticated woman out there, but I do think that I'm decently grown up for my age lol. I mean to be honest there are a number of things that are COMPLETELY different about the way I act, carry myself and think now vs when I was in college.
An let me just say....thank ya Jesus 🙌 LOL
Although many people in their early 20's like to argue that a 25 or 26 year old isn't any more grown up than they are...the truth is in your 20's a three or four year age gap can make a world of difference.
Not to long after you leave college and step into the real world reality smacks you in the face and starts to change your perception of everything and everyone around you. There is sooooooo much growth that a person goes through between the ages of 22-25 that it's crazy and I'm sure there's even more growth after 25 (I'll keep you posted)
