...and I'm not just saying that because is my recipe, I'm saying it because it's TRUE!
Seriously I started making this pasta salad a few years back and its become my signature dish. If you invite me to any function between spring and fall, don't even question cuz this is what i'm bringing and its actually gotten to the point where I get request for it *hair flip*
I haven't shared a recipe on here in a while and since spring is upon us I thought this would be the perfect first recipe. I mean it screams spring, the pasta salad its self looks like spring! Is super bright, packed with yummy veggies and just makes you feel good.
Apparently starting an urban garden has become all the rage and I love it!
When I shared a glimpse of my balcony urban garden on IG last year, I was surprised at how many of you reached out wanting tips on how to start an urban garden of your own.
If I would have known folks were interested in this I would have shared how to start an urban garden ages ago as this isn't a new practice for me its actually a little hobby. Every place i've lived since I moved out on my own has had some form of urban garden.
Some years are better than others and what i've grown has changed but i'm supper happy to share how to start an urban garden with you all!
If you're looking for a quick way to clean up your diet?
Look no further than your grocery stores fruit section.
After having Baby Bean I became a snacking queen. Mainly because when you have a new baby in your arms, it's pretty damn difficult to find time to eat anything...let alone a healthy full meal.
So grab n go junk became the norm-- a hand full of fruit loops here, a bowl of pretzels there...an entire bag of chips SMH ya'll get my drift.
Unfortunately, all that snacking caught up to me and a week ago I stepped on the scale I was back to my pregnancy weight...I knew had to make a change and thats where fruit came in.
Recently I have been LOVING noodle bowls!
Ive been loving them SO much that I purchased 3 this past week from the new opened Honeygrow that opened in my town.
Now while Honeygrow's noodle bowls are bomb...three bowls in a week is NOT bomb for my pockets. So in true Pretty Girl fashion and wanting to save a coin or two, I decided to try making my own bowl at home.
Grab this super delicious and easy to make recipe below.
Today was my first official day on the 21 day challenge.
I have to admit going to the challenge I was actually kind of nervous most of all because I wasn't able to properly prep before hand to set myself up for success. Even though I clearly knew about the challenge I feel like I was, as with most things procrastinating and before I knew it the evening had snuck up on me. I didn't have time to really cook for the next day or do any other preparations like getting in the right mindset.
But either way Monday was coming...
Check out my thoughts on how my first day went and changes I'm already seeing below
PrettyGirlsLiveFit: Healthy Living Is A Choice Im Starting The Brittne Babe 21 Day Challenge
Sunday, April 3, 2016
For those of you who follow me on Instagram you know that I have been talking about BrittneBabe's 21 day challenge and how I was going to attempt to take it head on starting April 4th!
At first it was a joke between a friend and I, she was talking about how we were going to do the challenge and get our booties right and tight for summer. However the more I thought about it the more I realize that this actually probably shouldn't be a joke.
Ok so "New Year New Me" is officially TWO FULL months ago and lets be honest that list of New Years resolutions you made are nowhere to be found.
How do I know? Simple...I can't find mine either.
How do I know? Simple...I can't find mine either.
What's even worse is that I know exactly what my major resolution was. It was to get in shape....and i've sucked all of January and February at trying to stick to it.
Theres been excuse after excuse, I was just getting over the holidays, I had just finished moving, I had to find a gym to join ....
The list could go on...but as I continued to come up with excuses on why I couldn't or wasn't working out. I realize that nothing will change until I did, so for March I decided to buckle down and really start working on getting healthy and I wanted to share the seven ways i'm jumpstarting my fitness with you!
